Terms and Conditions for Illegal Tender Co. JDM Tours

By booking a tour with us, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Vehicle Availability

  • The vehicle you select from our lineup is subject to change due to unforeseeable circumstances. These may include, but are not limited to, mechanical failure, party size, or any other factors beyond our control.
  • If we must substitute a vehicle, no refunds will be issued. We will make every effort to provide a suitable replacement, but the experience will continue with the vehicle available at the time.

2. Additional Stops and Fees

  • Any request for additional stops beyond the pre-negotiated route will incur extra charges. These fees may cover additional time required from the driver, gasoline, and tolls associated with the detour.
  • No extra stops will be made unless payment for these additional fees is received in advance.

3. Driver Participation in Activities

  • If you request the driver to participate in any activities during the tour (e.g., meals, ticketed events, etc.), you are responsible for covering the associated costs for the driver. The driver will not pay for such activities out of pocket.

4. Pricing and Currency

  • All prices discussed and agreed upon are in United States Dollars (USD) unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.

5. Liability

  • Illegal Tender Co. and its drivers are not liable for any accidents, physical injury, or harm that may occur during the tour. By booking, you agree to participate at your own risk, and you understand that while safety is a priority, unforeseen events may occur.
  • We recommend obtaining personal travel insurance for added protection during your tour.

6. Cancellation Policy

  • A non-refundable 20% cancellation fee will apply if the tour is canceled at any time.
  • If you cancel within 48 hours of the agreed start time, 100% of the tour cost will be charged, and no refunds will be provided.

7. Driver’s Right to Cancel or Terminate the Experience

  • The driver reserves the right to cancel or terminate the tour at any point due to mechanical failures or disrespectful behavior from participants. Mutual respect is key to ensuring a positive experience. Failure to treat the driver courteously, or engaging in inappropriate conduct, may result in the immediate termination of the tour with no refund provided.

8. Local Road Laws and Seatbelt Usage

  • All passengers are required to follow local road laws at all times during the tour. This includes, but is not limited to, wearing seatbelts while inside the vehicle. Failure to comply with these laws may result in the immediate termination of the tour without a refund.

9. Driver Conduct and Safety

  • Our drivers will not engage in speeding, reckless driving, or any illegal maneuvers to entertain passengers. Safety is our priority, and the driver will maintain safe and legal driving practices at all times. Requests for reckless driving will not be entertained and may result in the termination of the tour with no refund.

10. Destination Closures

  • In the event that any destinations on your planned route are closed due to reasons beyond our control (e.g., weather, government restrictions, private events, etc.), Illegal Tender Co. cannot offer refunds or accommodate for any such closures. We will continue the tour as scheduled or adjust the route if necessary, but no compensation will be provided for unforeseen closures.

11. General Conduct

  • Please respect both the driver and the vehicle throughout the tour. Any damages caused by reckless or disrespectful behavior will be the responsibility of the customer.
